And there I was, freshly faded, crowded

Bonded to the neon lights freely forming in the space called the floor, spores roared through the Aloha T shirts and jeans making every sweat gland pulse with sheen.

We lick our lips, move our hips, and take that dip.

Sip by sip euphoria fills the ballad as Europeans pour in diluting the once diverse crowd of stowed and loud.

Strange faces, have I been here before?

Who’s talking?

Why is the person from the stage on the dance floor?

All I hope to be revealed on time and in time.

Why was she staring at me from the door?

Vampiric vibrations shake and tinkle twinkle the shack as she stares deep almost as if she was in a trans of some sort.

She wanted something.

Beating sounds lead to the ultimate surrender of the fender defender, big big noises coming from the big boy speakers.

Had this all been a dream?

When will I wake up from this horrid nightmare?

She’s still staring at me.

Oh

my God She’s walking towards me, play it cool. “I saw you grooving. I like your moves” she said.

“Thank you I — take another sip— been working on this one for a while.” I turn and bend my back mid turn dipping my shoulders in a sort of propeller motion. Purely for sport. “Yes I can see that, you’ve got quite the talent, I came over because I saw you staring at me and I wanted to see what you were all about.” And that’s when I realized,

I,

was staring at her.
